The team led by Milena Maesani carried out the architectural reconstruction of the building in Piazza Duse (Milan). The project involved the color-matched grouting of decorative cements, the application of glazes (velature), the restoration of the facade’s original chromatic balance, and reconstruction using the bush-hammered (martellinato) technique.
The intervention utilized Keim silicate paints. Furthermore, marble-like finishes were identified and restored on the cement elements, featuring a color palette ranging from warm grey to ochre and sinopia. These are unique, high-craftsmanship processes specifically designed to restore the original work.
